WHY DID YOU WANT TO JOIN THE LOYOLA UNIVERSITY CHICAGO ALUMNI ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND/OR WHY HAVE YOU CONTINUED FOR ANOTHER TERM ON THE BOARD?
I wanted to join the LUCAA Board because I believe in giving back to the community that shaped my academic and professional journey. Loyola instilled in me a commitment to service, ethical leadership, and building bridges between diverse communities. These values have guided my career as an entrepreneur and community leader. Serving on the board allows me to contribute to initiatives that strengthen alumni engagement, foster mentorship opportunities for students, and support the university’s mission.
WHAT IS ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE LOYOLA MEMORIES AS A STUDENT AND/OR ALUM?
One of my most cherished memories is helping to support Loyola in establishing the Mamie Till Mobley scholarship. This effort, rooted in honoring Loyola alumna Mamie Till Mobley, a powerful voice for justice and education, deeply resonates with my values as a community builder and social innovator. It was meaningful to be part of a legacy that not only honors her role as a “spokesperson for justice” but also empowers future leaders from Chicago’s black student community.
