WHY DID YOU WANT TO JOIN THE LOYOLA UNIVERSITY CHICAGO ALUMNI ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND/OR WHY HAVE YOU CONTINUED FOR ANOTHER TERM ON THE BOARD?
I wanted to join the LUCAA Board because Loyola has had a profound impact on my personal and professional journey. As a doctoral student, I was shaped by Loyola’s commitment to social justice, reflective practice, and community-engaged scholarship. Serving on the board is an opportunity to give back to the institution that helped ground my career in equity and advocacy. I’m excited to help strengthen alumni connections and support the university’s continued mission of transformative education and leadership.
WHAT IS ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE LOYOLA MEMORIES AS A STUDENT AND/OR ALUM?
One of my most cherished memories was standing at the podium as the 2025 commencement speaker, delivering remarks to the School of Education and School of Environmental Sustainability. It was a full-circle moment that allowed me to reflect on how Loyola prepared me to lead with purpose, clarity, and humility in systems that often resist change. That day reminded me of the power of mentorship, community, and rigorous scholarship in shaping principled leadership.
