Dr. Gozde Karatas Baydogmus earned her B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Sciences and M.S. in Computer Engineering from Istanbul Kultur University, and her Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Marmara University. Prior to joining Loyola University Chicago as a Visiting Scholar, she served as an Assistant Professor and Vice Head of Department at Marmara University and Biruni University. She has also worked as a research assistant and instructor, contributing to teaching and research in machine learning and cybersecurity.
Research Interests
Her research interests include machine learning for cybersecurity, intrusion detection systems, federated and privacy-preserving learning, and trustworthy AI. Her work also extends to embodied AI and robot learning, with a focus on evaluation frameworks and reproducible machine learning systems.
