BA/MA dual program in English with a minor in Finance at Loyola University

Research Interests

I have always been fascinated by the various forms of writing and world-building  in fantasy role-playing games, which typically resemble a compilation of the pre-1900s and pre-1700s. I intend to familiarize myself with key literary and historical aspects from each of these periods, though my primary focus is on the British Romantic movement. From a writing standpoint I am deeply intrigued by the experimental qualities of modern and postmodern literature such as the works of Gertrude Stein or Toni Morrison. I find that such writing is best fleshed out through a keen understanding of critical theory, so I have also taken an interest in the works of theorists such as Walter Benjamin and Fredric Jameson.
