Rowen Light-Wills
Rowen earned her bachelor's degree in English at Scripps College and Digital/Electronic Media Studies at the Claremont Colleges. Following graduation, she spent a year with Quaker Voluntary Service, working full-time as a Youth Engagement Specialist at Outside In Clinic in Portland, Oregon. She then received a Leadership and Service scholarship to attend Earlham School of Religion, where she earned her master’s degree in Theopoetics and Writing.
She is currently taking graduate-level English coursework at Loyola to deepen her foundation in literary theory ahead of doctoral study. Row plans to apply to Loyola's PhD program in Modern Literature and Culture with an emphasis in Textual Studies and Digital Humanities, where she aims to pursue interdisciplinary research examining how digital media intersects with traditional literary forms. Her academic interests focus on queer literary histories and gender representation, as well as media literacy, social responsibility, and activism.
