Loyola University Chicago is proud to announce a gift of $1 million from Tom (BBA ’74) and Karen Schoewe to Loyola University Chicago, underscoring their commitment to supporting the educational journey of Arrupe College students.

This investment will offer Arrupe College students and graduates essential scholarship funding and enhanced resources to support their pursuit of bachelor’s degrees at Loyola University Chicago. In addition to increasing access to undergraduate education, Tom and Karen’s gifts for Arrupe hardship funding and housing support will help minimize common, unforeseen disruptions that can negatively impact degree completion.

The Schoewe’s support follows a recent gift of $100,000 from General Motors, made in honor of Mr. Schoewe’s exemplary service and retirement from their board of directors. General Motors’ gift supports the acquisition of state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and supplies for the STEM Lab in Arrupe College, enhancing educational opportunities for students in STEM fields. Together, these generous gifts advance Tom and Karen Schoewe’s dedication to educational access and excellence for all.
