Diamond Gant
Administrative Assistant
Diamond Gant joined the Institute of Pastoral Studies at Loyola University Chicago in August 2018. She is a proud alumna of Loyola University Chicago, where she earned her B.A. in Multimedia Journalism from the School of Communication.
Before joining IPS, Diamond served as a resident assistant during her senior year and worked as a youth mentor at Maranatha Community Center on Chicago’s South Side. Her commitment to community engagement and youth development has remained central to her work.
Alongside her passion for service, Diamond has a lifelong love for the arts—particularly dance. She has trained professionally since the age of four in tap, jazz, contemporary, liturgical, and hip-hop. As an adult, she has danced with Chicago-based hip-hop companies including The Piece Makers and Bang Bang Dance, and has competed in citywide events such as World of Dance and Prelude. Internationally, she co-directed a team that placed second while representing the United States at the Changwon K-Pop World Festival in South Korea.
Driven by a desire to combine artistic excellence with youth empowerment, Diamond recognized that her purpose extended beyond the stage. She currently teaches intermediate and advanced hip-hop to dancers ages 9–16 at Extensions Dance Company, where she is passionate about mentoring young artists and cultivating confidence, discipline, and creativity through movement.
Diamond is currently pursuing a dual MBA/MSM in Business Administration and Marketing at Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business. She aspires to launch a performing arts company and faith-based mentorship program that nurtures young dancers both artistically and personally, fostering skill development alongside a strong, supportive community.
