Mariana Miller
Assistant Dean for Continuing Education
Mariana came to the Institute of Pastoral Studies at Loyola University Chicago in July 2019 from Creighton University, the Jesuit university in Omaha, Nebraska. She is originally from Argentina but has lived in the U.S. since 1999. She came to the United States to study theology at Boston College, where she met her husband, Richard. After obtaining her M.A. in Theology from Boston College, she worked in Campus Ministry at Boston University for one year. She then stayed home to raise their three children until they were all in school full time, at which point she returned to Campus Ministry at Creighton University.
Mariana spent six years at Creighton working in Campus Ministry and directing two graduate programs in ministry and spirituality. She has always been deeply focused on social justice issues and Ignatian spirituality. She loves serving in the Continuing Education department at IPS because she believes that a Jesuit university is not only at the service of undergraduate and graduate students, but also—very importantly—at the service of the broader community. Continuing Education fulfills this mission intentionally through its various programs.
