Amy Soub

Director, PDSO/RO


As the Director of International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS), Amy Soub serves as the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) for Loyola’s F-1 Student & Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) and the Responsible Officer (RO) for the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program, acting as the primary liaison with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to ensure institutional compliance. Ms. Soub began her career in international education overseas, working in student services and study abroad, where she gained first-hand insight into the global student experience. She later returned to the Chicago area and spent over seven years as the Assistant Director of International Services at Governors State University, further developing her expertise in immigration advising and cross-cultural programming. With more than 15 years of experience in international education, Ms. Soub leads a dedicated ISSS team at Loyola, ensuring that international students and scholars are supported in maintaining their immigration status, navigating cultural transitions, and achieving academic and personal success. Ms. Soub holds undergraduate degrees from The American University of Rome and Roma Tre University, and an MA in Higher Education Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University.

Amy is passionate about leadership, personal development, and fostering cross-cultural connections. When Amy is not at work, she enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and walking in nature.
