Jennifer Lazarus

Director, Office of Career Services

Jennifer Lazarus is the Director in the Office of Career Services. She has an extensive background advising students within the law and public service fields, and her career has been dedicated to promoting student advocacy and success. Jennifer previously held the role of Senior Associate Director, Law & Public Service Career Advisor at Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois, where she also managed the credited Academic Internship Program. Prior to joining Lake Forest College, she served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for the Washtenaw County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in Ann Arbor, MI. Jen's experience spans both law and public interest, including prosecuting cases in criminal and civil law, representing the Department of Human Services in child protection matters, and conducting legal training for law enforcement, social workers, educators, and interns. She also oversaw the Juvenile Diversion Restoration Program, dedicated to reducing juvenile recidivism and helping at-risk youth avoid criminal prosecution. Additionally, Jen served as Executive Board Vice President for the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Chamber of Commerce. Jen received her B.A. in English Literature from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor and her J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
