Dr. Elizabeth Szwajnos (Dr. S) is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Loyola University Chicago’s Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing and a dedicated member of the Simulation team. With a background spanning chemistry, nursing, and advanced practice, she brings a unique perspective to her teaching.

For over seven years, Dr. Szwajnos has guided students in classrooms, labs, simulations, and clinical settings, always focused on connecting theory to real-world practice. Recognized as a Daisy Award nominee, Staff Excellence Award recipient, and Most Inspirational Nurse finalist, she is known for her passion, innovation, and commitment to student success.

She believes that preparing well-equipped, compassionate nurses is vital to advancing healthcare quality and patient safety—and she takes pride in inspiring the next generation to carry that mission forward.
