Clara Downey
Ph.D. student
Clara is a political science Ph.D. student at Loyola University Chicago. Prior to coming to Loyola, she earned her Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Scranton and her Master’s degree in American Politics from Georgetown University. Her research focuses on the complex relationship between religion and American politics and is particularly concerned with the impact of religion on American electorate behavior. She has active research in both American politics and theology.
