Kwabena Krah

Instructor of Economics


Dr. Krah is an Instructor of Economics in the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago. His teaching emphasizes critical thinking, analytical skills, and the real-world application of economic principles. By integrating hands-on examples and contemporary case studies, he aims to enhance student understanding and engagement.

Before joining Quinlan, Dr. Krah served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Loyola’s Institute for Racial Justice and at the Center for Global Development (CGD) in Washington, D.C. He has also worked as a consultant with the World Bank Group in Washington, D.C., and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in Rome, contributing to initiatives focused on economic development and poverty reduction.

Dr. Krah’s research focuses on microeconomic issues related to poverty, inequality, and agrarian transformation in low- and middle-income countries. His interest in these topics is informed by his early experiences in rural Ghana, which continue to shape his empirical research and policy analysis aimed at advancing economic justice and improving livelihoods.
