Brian Moran
Instructor of Management
Dr. Brian Moran is a lecturer in the Department of Management at Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business, where he teaches organizational behavior, international business, and strategic management. His work bridges academic research and real-world practice, drawing on experience in entrepreneurship, executive education, and cross-sector leadership.
His research examines how emotional and social intelligence, personality, and cognitive ability shape leadership effectiveness, team engagement, and organizational performance. He is a co-author of a chapter in the volume Inspired Teams: Building a Holding Environment to Catalyze Innovation, offering a framework for fostering innovation through values-based team dynamics.
Before academia, Dr. Moran led initiatives in advocacy, media, strategy, and hospitality, including owning and operating a high-volume business known for operational rigor and strong community ties. He also brings experience in analytics coaching and leadership development with mid- and senior-level professionals.
Dr. Moran helps students lead with clarity, empathy, and purpose by fostering reflection, discernment, and genuine connection, cultivating the habits that build inclusive, high-performing teams.
