Sophie Vodvarka works to shape public narratives as a communications professional and freelance journalist. Throughout her career, she’s covered immigration, affordable housing, arts and culture, travel, spirituality, and more. Vodvarka’s reporting, copywriting, and creative writing can be found in multiple publications and on her website. 

Originally from Nebraska, Vodvarka earned her bachelor’s degree in English at Creighton University and master’s degree in Social Justice and Community Development at Loyola University Chicago. She’s thrilled to be teaching a new generation of journalists and communicators.
