Christy Rentmeester, PhD

A philosopher by training, Dr. Rentmeester served as a director at the AMA and managing editor of the AMA Journal of Ethics from 2015-2025.  She has taught health policy and ethics to numerous health professional and student learners; served on numerous ethics committees, IRBs, and licensure boards; and has consulted on ethically complex cases in a variety of health care settings. Her scholarly interests include moral psychology, health justice, and health humanities.
