What attracted you to Arrupe College?

I appreciate Arrupe College's mission and commitment for equitable education. Knowledge is power and Arrupe College truly equips students to be successful.

How did you get involved in higher education?

I fell into education after teaching English as a second language in South Korea. What was supposed to be this fun, casual work and life experience in a foreign country, actually, taught me how working with students fulfilled me in a way I hadn't thought was possible. While pursuing a Secondary Education Teaching program at National Louis University, I tutored part-time before classes. Well low and behold, I never left higher education after that. I stuck with tutoring, moving into teaching, and then finally coordinating academic support services for the past 10 years in both urban and suburban schools, as well as both 2-year and 4-year institutions.

What is your favorite aspect about working at Arrupe? Biggest challenge?

My favorite aspect of working at Arrupe is the people, plain and simple. The people you meet and the relationships you make at Arrupe are the most rewarding experiences.
