What attracted you to Arrupe College?

I was drawn to Arrupe College because of its strong commitment to affordability and accessibility in higher education. Financial barriers often prevent students from pursuing or completing their education, and I truly appreciate how Arrupe works to reduce those obstacles. I’m also inspired by the close, supportive relationships fostered between staff and students, which shows the college’s dedication to student success both academically and personally.

How did you get involved in higher education?

As a first-year, first-generation college student, there were many things I had to figure out on my own because I didn’t have anyone to guide me through the process. Fortunately, I had a counselor who was incredibly supportive and always found a way to help me navigate the challenges I faced. Her passion and dedication to helping students like me inspired me to give back and support others in the same way. During my undergraduate years, I was also deeply involved in various leadership roles, and those experiences fueled my passion for mentorship and empowering others. I want to be the mentor I wish I had, and be the change I want to see by helping others overcome barriers and believe in their own potential.

What is your favorite aspect about working at Arrupe? Biggest challenge?

My favorite aspect of Arrupe College is its mission of affordability and its deep commitment to student success. I admire how the college actively works to remove financial barriers and creates a supportive environment where staff and students form close, meaningful relationships.
