Trazell Primuse

Trazell Primuse is a first-generation college graduate, financial empowerment advocate, and
social impact leader committed to building bridges between financial education, access, and
equity. With a background in social work and sociology, her mission is to ensure that
working-class communities have the tools and opportunities to thrive both personally and
financially.

Trazell most recently served as the Financial Growth Manager at Revolution Workshop, a
nonprofit that trains adults for careers in the skilled trades. In this role, she led the redesign of
the organization’s financial literacy programming, shifting it from compliance-based instruction to a trauma-informed, transformative model. Her work included developing RW’s first-ever financial coaching curriculum, launching credit-building tools like RCredit Boost, and spearheading RW Wheels, a 6% interest car loan program designed for alumni with limited credit access. These efforts not only increased program participation but helped alumni improve their credit, build savings, and expand employment opportunities.

A native of Detroit and social worker by trade, Trazell brings both lived experience and systems
level insight to her work. She believes financial freedom is not just about budgeting—it’s about
healing, self-definition, and access. She sees money not as a goal but as a means of liberation
for marginalized communities.

Now pursuing her MBA through Loyola University Chicago’s Baumhart Scholars program,
Trazell is focused on enhancing her strategic leadership capacity, deepening my business
fluency, and finding new opportunities to grow within the nonprofit sector particularly in a role
where she can scale impact, lead with purpose, and help build more equitable financial systems for marginalized communities.
