LUMA is proud to host the capstone works of Loyola Fine Arts and Visual Communication seniors. Spanning multiple disciplines and mediums, the exhibition brings together independently developed projects shaped by each artist's interests, questions, and ways of working. This exhibition opens on April 24th and is free to all!

Loyola University Chicago's Black alumni board will hold a special birthday celebration for Chicago civil rights icon Mamie Till-Mobley. The celebration will be at an art exhibit that uniquely captures Till-Mobley's story.

Artifact Spotlight

Madonna and Child with Cherubs

Sassoferrato, a Roman Baroque painter, depicts Mary tenderly cradling the sleeping Christ amid cherubs and soft clouds, creating a warm, comforting scene. The gold background and gentle colors highlight their celestial status, while Sassoferrato's attention to detail in drapery showcases his Baroque mastery.
