Kate Myczek, DNP, M.Ed, APRN-FPA, FNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner and educator with a deep commitment to advancing healthcare through education, clinical practice, and community engagement. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Systems Leadership from Loyola University Chicago, where she now directs the DNP Family Nurse Practitioner Track and teaches as a Clinical Assistant Professor. Her academic journey also includes a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a Master of Education from Loyola Marymount University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Drawing from her background in both education and healthcare, Dr. Myczek brings a multidisciplinary perspective to her work. She integrates evidence-based practice and health equity into curriculum development and clinical instruction, and actively supports student growth through mentorship and academic advising. Her research and presentations have focused on adolescent health, telehealth innovation, and inclusive care delivery.
In addition to her academic role, Dr. Myczek continues to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Chicago, providing primary and preventive care with a focus on underserved populations. Fluent in English and clinically proficient in Spanish, she bridges clinical and cultural gaps to deliver comprehensive care. She is certified in telehealth for both providers and educators and holds Full Practice Authority as an APRN in Illinois.
