Engagement both in the local community and globally can be traced to the very foundation of Jesuit education and the principles the first Jesuits and their lay collaborators espoused in the sixteenth century. Today, our students continue to identify the most transformative aspects of their undergraduate and graduate education within this same tradition, through the engaged learning, service, and research they undertake in the communities surrounding our campuses in Chicago and through the experiences they have abroad at our global center in Rome, and other locations around the world.
We are pleased to introduce you to the expertise and work of faculty and staff in the Office of Global and Community Engagement (OGCE), which includes: the English Language Learning Program (ELLP), International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS), the Fellowships Office, the Office of Global Initiatives, the Rome Center, the Ricci Scholars Program, and the Study Abroad Office; as well as the Center for Engaged Learning, Teaching, and Scholarship (CELTS); the Center for Science and Math Education (CSME); the Center for Urban Research and Learning (CURL); and the Gannon Center for Women and Leadership.
