Applications to the Dietetic Internship Certificate program are accepted through the Dietetics Inclusive Centralized Application Service (DICAS). Please contact Program Director Kevin Pietro, PhD, RDN, CSSD, LDN at kpietro@luc.edu for questions.
The DICAS portal opens in early August for the current admissions cycle and the Application Review Team begins to evaluate completed applications in mid-November. Highly qualified applicants will be asked to participate in a 30-minute interview to discuss their academic background and interest in Loyola.
Candidates who have fully completed their application in the DICAS portal by the priority deadline of February 1st will be notified by March 1st if they have been accepted, waitlisted, or rejected from the program. Completed DICAS applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis through July 31st.
The following are requirements for applicants:
Applications to Loyola’s Dietetic Internship Certificate (DI-C) program are accepted directly through DICAS.
Completed DICAS applications from eligible candidates must include:
- Official transcript- Undergraduate degree (preferably in nutrition and/or dietetics with a cumulative GPA above 3.0) from an accredited institution
- Verification Statement from either an ACEND-accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) or a Foreign Dietitian Education Program (FDE)
- Unofficial transcripts- Graduate degree (preferably in nutrition and/or dietetics with a cumulative GPA above 3.0) from an accredited institution with the expected completion date prior to the start of Fall semester
- Three letters of recommendation (including both academic and professional references)
- Personal statement that clearly articulates your interest in joining this program
