Association of Graduate Students in Philosophy
AGSP
What is AGSP?
AGSP is a formal, university-funded association run by graduate students in the philosophy department at Loyola University Chicago. Each year, we elect a board, which takes on the responsibility of making our voices heard in the department, the graduate school, and occasionally the university at large. We also organize conferences and colloquia and do our best to promote social activities. In addition to these roles, we do what we can to promote the interests of our members. We take care of the illustrious Graduate Student Lounge, and we maintain a small library in the Lounge. We do what we can to provide graduate students travel stipends for conferences in which they are participating.
All graduate students (including those enrolled in MA programs) are welcome to become members.
Who are the current officers?
| Co-Presidents | Jason Stephens and David Inczauskis |
| Vice President | Mason Bowes |
| Treasurer | Cheryl Fok |
| Secretary | MaKenzie Munson |
| GSAC Representative | Santi Uresti |
| Colloquium Representative | Morgan Ransom |
How do I get a key to the graduate lounge?
The graduate lounge, located in Crown 357, is a place where graduate students can relax, work, or meet with others. It has a few computers, some comfy lounge chairs, and the three only appliances necessary for survival: fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Please email philgrad@luc.edu to request keys to the graduate lounge.
