Class Guest Speakers
Career Week kicked off with alumni guest speakers in our classes throughout the day and across all disciplines.
Speakers talked to students about how they started their careers, described the ins-and-outs of their industries, and shared stories of navigating challenging moments.

Lunch & Learn: Vrakas CPAs + Advisors
Students traveled to Vrakas CPAs + Advisors at their Chicago office for a Lunch and Learn. There, they met with a team of professionals to learn more about Dual Audit/Tax Internships and full-time opportunities. Open to undergraduate students only. Hosted by Loyola Career Services.
Entrepreneurship Panel: "The Road I Rambled"
The Road I Rambled brought together a panel of Loyola alumni whose professional journeys have taken them across industries, roles, and opportunities they never expected.
The panelists shared how they navigated career pivots, embraced unexpected opportunities, and found success on paths that were anything but straight. This conversation reminded students that there is no single "right way" to build a fulfilling career.

Loyola Career Services, in collaboration with the Supply Chain and Sustainability Center, hosted Chicago's largest career fair dedicated solely to the supply chain field.

Lunch & Learn: LinkedIn
LinkedIn hosted a Lunch and Learn at their Chicago office and discussed how to maximize a LinkedIn profile. Open to undergraduate students only. Hosted by Loyola Career Services.
Keynote Speaker
Kevin Willer, General Partner at Chicago Ventures
Kevin Willer offered insights from his leadership roles in entrepreneurship, technology, and venture capital. Before joining Chicago Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital fund, Kevin served as the founding CEO of 1871, which is one of the world's leading technology start-up incubators. He also co-founded Google's Chicago office, serving as one of Google's first 200 employees in the world. Today, Kevin is a Loyola trustee and a proud supporter of women's and men's soccer in Chicago and beyond.
Networking and Etiquette Dinner
Business is not always conducted in an office. Sometimes, it's over a meal or during a networking event. Students enjoyed a three-course meal while learning dining and networking etiquette.

Taylor O'Malley (BBA '89), Co-Founder and President of Balyasny Asset Management (BAM)
Taylor O’Malley (BBA '89) is a Quinlan alumnus, Loyola trustee, and president of Balyasny Asset Management (BAM), which he co-founded in 2001. Today, BAM has more than $28 billion in assets under management and employs more than 2,000 people across 23 offices in the U.S. and Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Taylor shared insights from his career and his advice for entering the highly competitive field of asset management.
