Admissions Process
SSOM accepts applications from June 1 through November 15 each year. Applicants should complete both the AMCAS MD/PhD and SSOM secondary application as soon as possible, ideally before August 15. Applications are not considered complete and will not be further reviewed until the SSOM supplemental application is returned.
Applications will be reviewed by the MD/PhD Program and selected applicants will be contacted (beginning in September) to choose interview dates until all interview slots are filled. The interview is a two-day process.
Admissions decisions are made by the MD/PhD Program and reviewed by the SSOM Executive Admissions Committee following completion of all interviews in January. Successful candidates will then be notified of their acceptance to the program. Applicants who have completed interviews but who have not been contacted are placed on an active alternate list and may be notified of acceptance to the Program later until the matriculating class has been finalized.

Applicants to the MD/PhD Program are not automatically considered for MD (categorical MD "only") admissions. Applicants not selected for an MD/PhD Program interview may have their applications considered for the MD Program if they request this in writing by contacting the SSOM Admissions Office.
