Learning Outcomes

Upon graduating, undergraduate Women’s Studies and Gender Studies students will be able to:

  • Identify major influences within key historic feminist movements.
  • Understand gender, race, sexuality, and class as intersecting structures of power and identity that appear differently throughout history and around the world.
  • Interpret major theories of and research in feminist and gender studies through a culturally responsive, global, and intersectional lens.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills through research and creative work integrating feminist theory, practice, and reflection.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with mentors, peers, and community partners.
