Program Review Processes
Reflection for Action
As a Jesuit institution, program review processes at Loyola University Chicago are inspired by and aligned with the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm. We invite you to think about this paradigm as not only guidance for designing effective courses, but also for how student learning assessments afford you reflection opportunities which ultimately provide improved experiences for your students. Learning about what we are doing well and what we could do better and taking action inspired by reflection is a key feature of our program review processes.
Our Loyola University Chicago Learning and Assessment Framework illustrates how our program review processes relate to and inform each other. Changes in one process directly impact others. We recommend thinking about these processes as pieces of a whole.
