Hello! My name is Amirah, and I'm here to tell you about my Arrupe College experience.
What is your degree and how/why did you select your degree?
Communications. I have always been interested in engaging with those around me. whether I pursue a career in journalism, public relations, or my parents business I want to have a solid education to grow on.
What has been your most challenging class and how did it change you?
American Government has been a challenge, but the class has made me better at studying vocabulary terms and understanding them rather than memorizing them.
What is some advice you would give an incoming freshman?
Find your people. There are so many personalities, cultures, and forms of care. Don’t close yourself off.
Where is your favorite place on campus and why?
Law center library. It’s quiet and beautiful, has rooms and tables with a view.
What is a moment where you felt like you belonged at Arrupe?
When I found Nicole, a social worker. She has become apart of my family, I don’t think I’d be able to be as active in the community without her.
Connect with me to ask any questions you may have about life at Arrupe, classes and professors, clubs and activities, or anything else!
