Fr. Jerry Overbeck, SJ

Senior Chaplain

Fr. J has worked at Loyola since 1976 and has served at the Water Tower Campus since 2003, primarily serving the School of Law and the School of Social Work as their chaplain.

Fr. J offers broad outreach to all the campuses through his "Java-with-the-Jesuit" every weekday (except Thursday) from 11:00 a.m. - noon at the WTC Starbucks located at Pearson & Rush and "Vino-with-the-Vicar" on Mondays and Fridays from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Alpana located at Pearson & State. He coordinates the 7:00 p.m. Sunday Mass in All Saints' Chapel on the 3rd Floor of the Terry Center, and Fr. J also offers pastoral counseling & spiritual direction along with seasonal programs such as Tour of the Crypts and Staying Best Friends.
