The Loyola University Chicago community mourns the loss of Teryn Robinson, assistant director for advising technologies in First and Second Year Advising (FSYA), who passed away on January 30, 2026.

Teryn became part of FSYA in 2019, first serving as an academic advisor. Her commitment to students and her talent for problem-solving and collaboration quickly became evident, and in 2023 she stepped into the role of assistant director.

Teryn will be remembered for the steady guidance, thoughtful support, and genuine care she offered to both students and colleagues.

Her work and relationships extended far beyond FSYA, including her contributions on University Senate, service as a QUEST mentor, and involvement in the LUC Pride Network Affinity Group. Teryn built partnerships across the University, always striving to improve students’ experiences and strengthen shared efforts.

A celebration of Teryn's life will be held on Monday, February 9, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 3521 N Pulaski Rd, with a brief service/sharing of stories at 3 p.m.
