The Undergraduate Research and Engagement Symposium will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, and it will feature presentations on undergraduate research and community engagement projects supported by LUROP fellowships, external programs, academic courses, service-learning experiences, internships, and community partnerships. The symposium engages the diverse ways undergraduate students advance Loyola’s Jesuit mission of “expanding knowledge in service to humanity through learning, justice, and faith. CELTS also encourages all students to archive their presentations in the eCommons where they can be viewed asynchronously. You do not need to register for the April 2026 event to submit your work to the digital archive.

Registration Information

REGISTRATION FOR THE 2026 UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH AND ENGAGEMENT SYMPOSIUM IS NOW CLOSED!

All Loyola University Chicago undergraduate students were welcomed to present research or community engagement projects to the public through the use of poster presentations, oral presentations, and learning portfolios. 

The symposium will be held on Saturday, April 18th, 2026.

Due to overwhelming interest and space constraints, students are eligible to be the primary registrant for one poster OR one oral presentation. If you are required to present for multiple purposes, please contact the CELTS team at URES@luc.edu 

Registration closed on March 15, 2026, at 11:59 pm CST. Late registrations will not be accepted for any reason. Confirmed registrants for URES 2026 will be sent a presentation details form the week of March 16, 2026, to finalize your presentation title, abstract, and other details. All registrants will be required to complete this second form.
