Ambareen Nasir

Clinical Assistant Professor


Dr. Ambareen Nasir prepares and strengthens equity-driven practices of educators who support multilingual learners. Drawing on her experience as a former Chicago Public School teacher and instructional coach, she leads curriculum and instructional work that centers student voice, identity, and funds of knowledge. Her focus includes action research for teacher development, curriculum design, culturally responsive teaching, and second-language literacy methods. Dr. Nasir continues to share her work and inspire others through leadership and service to the community. Her life-long journey as an educator is inspired by learning and teaching and is grounded in her faith.
