Connor Barnes

PhD student in History and Public History


Connor Barnes is a graduate student pursuing a joint PhD in History and Public History at Loyola University Chicago. His research focuses on how education and collective memory have combined to shape urban politics of race and ethnicity throughout the twentieth century. As a public historian, he has worked extensively with the National Park Service and is currently co-curating Loyola's exhibit commemorating ethe 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. 
As a Gannon Graduate Leader, Connor hopes to develop practical leadership strategies that will make him a more effective ally in research, classroom, and community spaces.
