Stritch School of Medicine

Accommodations Process for Stritch Medical School Students

Students must apply and meet with a Health Science Campus (HSC) Student Accessibility Center (SAC) staff member to discuss the impact of their disability and their request for accommodations before any accommodations can be approved.

Students may register with the SAC at any time during their academic career; however, it is strongly recommended that they start the process as early as possible, since accommodations are not applied retroactively.

To Register with the SAC Students Must Complete the Following Steps:

Step 1:  Complete the SAC online application here.

Step 2:  Provide the SAC with appropriate disability documentation — such as medical, psychological, or other diagnostic reports — that explains the related functional limitations for which accommodations are requested. Students may upload digital copies of this documentation as part of their application. All documentation must meet the established criteria for the specific disability.

Step 3:  The student will need to meet with a staff member in the HSC SAC to discuss appropriate and reasonable accommodations. Students will receive an email with instructions for scheduling a meeting with an HSC SAC staff member.

Step 4:  Once accommodation requests are reviewed, students will be notified of the decision.
