The Sorority and Fraternity Life community has a long-standing history at Loyola University Chicago with the values of academic excellence, civic engagement, community collaboration, leadership development, and personal growth. Sororities and fraternities were first recognized by Loyola University Chicago in 1922, and over the years, have played an integral role on campus. In 2022, Sorority and Fraternity Life members, alumni, and campus community celebrated SFL 100th Centennial Celebration. The Sorority and Fraternity Life (SFL) team facilitates a variety of leadership and educational programs for members of our three governing councils: Interfraternity Council, Multicultural Greek Council, and Panhellenic Council. Our sorority and fraternity community is 10% of the undergraduate student population and it's still growing.

Sorority and Fraternity Life regularly partners with other university departments such as the Wellness Center, Center for Student Inclusion and Belonging, Campus Recreation Services, and Students Rights, Responsibilities & Conflict Resolution to create and implement programs designed in enhancing the co-curricular experience for sorority and fraternity members at Loyola University Chicago.
