Preached Silent Retreat
February 5-7, 2027
Preached Silent Retreat registration will open July 1, 2026
“What should I do?” It’s the question at the heart of everyday choices and life’s biggest turning points. We all want to make good decisions—but often don’t know how.
Fortunately, there’s help. St. Ignatius of Loyola was a master decision maker. For nearly 500 years, his “rules for discernment” have guided people toward clarity, freedom, and peace in decision-making.
The Preached Silent Retreat is open to all Loyola students seeking help in making life decisions. This retreat includes a series of talks by Fr. Michael Rossmann, SJ, with time in between for quiet reflection and prayer. Participants will also have opportunities for one-on-one spiritual conversation, Eucharistic Adoration, Reconciliation, and Mass.
Grounded in the Ignatian tradition and enriched by Catholic practices, the retreat is also open to non-Catholic students who want to grow in discernment. You’ll leave with practical tools to help you make life decisions with greater confidence and peace.
The retreat will return to campus no later than 4pm, giving ample time to get to any Super Bowl watch parties.
