Student Rights, Responsibilities & Conflict Resolution Team (SRCR)

The Student Rights, Responsibilities & Conflict Resolution Team (SRCR) oversees the University’s student conduct process for all students and provides options for students seeking guidance and resources related to conflict resolution. They manage Loyola’s Community Standards which includes Student Conduct procedures, the Student Promise, Conflict Resolution services, and Restorative Practices. The SRCR Team supports students in understanding their responsibilities, encourages accountability, and fosters growth and learning to maintain a safe and respectful campus environment. They also host programming, workshops, and Community Circles throughout the year alongside their trained student leaders that make up the Student Community Board, Conflict Resolution Liaisons, and SRCR Student Assistants.

The SRCR Team promotes student success and development through upholding policies and procedures that ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. We strive to strengthen our community by supporting students in cultivating accountability, engaging in open dialogue to repair harm, and practicing ethical decision-making.

Stacey P. Jaksa

Stacey P. Jaksa, M.S.

Associate Dean of Students for Student Rights, Responsibilities & Conflict Resolution (She/Her)

As the Associate Dean for Student Rights, Responsibilities & Conflict Resolution, Stacey provides comprehensive leadership, management, and vision for the SRCR Team. This includes supervision of the full-time staff, overseeing the University’s conduct and conflict resolution processes, including administration of the Maxient case management software, and facilitating the team's assessment methods. Prior to joining the Loyola community, Stacey worked in Student Affairs at DePaul University and the University of South Florida. She earned her B.A.A. in Family Studies from Central Michigan University and her M.S. in Counseling and Student Development from Eastern Illinois University. Stacey is also a trained Circle Keeper and holds a mediator certification. Stacey enjoys reading, painting, baseball/softball, basketball, and spending time volunteering for her national sorority, Sigma Sigma Sigma.

Willie Gore

Willie Gore, M.Ed.

Assistant Dean of Students for Conflict Resolution Services (He/Him)

As the Assistant Dean of Students for Conflict Resolution Services, Willie is responsible for providing conflict resolution services for students and staff across the University system through training, advocacy, and consultation. This position is also responsible for coordinating preventative outreach through the framework and practice of restorative justice. Prior to joining the SRCR Team, Willie worked full-time in Residential Education at both DePaul University and Saint Louis University. Willie received his B.A. in English and Black Studies from Allegheny College and his M.Ed. in Higher Education from Loyola University Chicago, where he also served as an Assistant Residence Director. Willie holds a mediator certification and his interests include his faith/spirituality, helping others to find purpose, and working with and supporting marginalized populations. Willie is also a huge sports fan – especially the New York Knicks (NBA), San Francisco 49ers (NFL), and the Pittsburgh Pirates (MLB).

Jae Joseph

Jae Joseph, MSW

Assistant Dean of Students for Student Conduct (She/Her)

Jae Joseph serves as the Assistant Dean of Students for Student Conduct. In this role, Jae serves as a principal Case Resolution Administrator for conduct matters and hires, trains, and supervises the three SRCR student assistants. Jae is also a lead trainer for student organizations and holds a mediator certification. Jae is a native of Chicago and is passionate about assisting first generation students in navigating higher education and connecting students to resources and opportunities. Jae obtained her B.S. from Illinois State University and her MSW from DePaul University. Jae is an avid reader and enjoys live music and comedy shows as well as discovering hidden gems throughout Chicago.

Michael Wilhite Jr.

Michael Wilhite Jr., MHRM

Assistant Dean of Students for Restorative Practices (He/Him)

As the Assistant Dean of Students for Restorative Practices on the SRCR Team, Michael serves as a Case Resolution Administrator, provides training, and is the liaison for numerous departments within Loyola. Prior to joining Loyola, Michael worked as a Dean for Chicago Public Schools Alternative School Network where he helped urban youth receive their high school diploma. Michael earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology at the University of Dubuque, where he was also a collegiate athlete. Michael went on to earn his Masters in Human Resources at North Park University and has a mediator certification. Michael enjoys playing basketball, watching rugby, and running. He is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.

Anton Jahn-Vavrus, B.A.

SRCR Graduate Intern (He/Him)

Anton graduated with a B.A. in Sociology and Urban Studies from Loyola University Chicago and is currently pursuing his master’s in Sociology at Loyola Chicago. Before joining the team as a graduate student, Anton served as a Conflict Resolution Liaison on the SRCR Team as an undergraduate. Anton previously served as president of the Rambler Brotherhood Project, a student success initiative at Loyola, and worked as an Education Specialist at the Boys and Clubs Club of the Twin Cities of Minnesota. Anton’s research interests focus on studying urban space and communities through a sociological lens, and he intends on continuing to work within Higher Education by holistically supporting underserved students during their time in college. In his free time, Anton loves exercising, spending time with friends and family, and listening to podcasts.

Hannah Eure, B.S.

SRCR Graduate Intern (She/Her)

Hannah graduated with a B.A. in criminal justice and criminology from Loyola University Chicago. Currently, she is pursuing her master's in criminal justice and criminology at Loyola Chicago. Before joining the team, Hannah was a Chicago Neighborhoods Fellow with the Loyola Chicago Center for Criminal Justice and is now a graduate student researcher. At the Center, she conducts data analysis for the John Howard Organization to provide greater transparency in the IDOC system and aids in researching the impact of the Pre-Trial Fairness Act. She is an aspiring researcher with a special interest in violent crime, psychology, and restorative justice. In her free time, she loves watching movies, baking, and spending time with her friends and family.
