  • Exam Changes After Submission: Final exams are printed at the 3-business day submission window. If you make any exam edits after the uploaded date, please email us regarding the specific change you made to procedures and/or exam with a new copy and note in the subject line such as: EXAM CHANGE EXAM DATE- EXAM TIME- COURSE NAME and CODES.
  • Exam Changes During Exams: If you clarify any exam questions during exams for the class as a whole, please share that information to sactesting@luc.edu with an urgent subject line, so they can pass along to students testing at SAC.
  • Exam Questions: Please note that SAC will reach out to you as students identify questions during exams.  If you answer questions for students in the classroom during the exam, then SAC students should also be able to ask questions to provide equal access to them. Please check your email periodically and respond when you can during the exam period. If you cannot proctor the exam and answer questions at the same time, then please check for questions at the completion of your class exam, and SAC will advise students to wait for answers until the completion of the class exam period.
  • Academic Integrity: The Student Accessibility Center follows the University's Academic Integrity Guidelines. Students that violate academic integrity will have the exam stopped and collected. SAC will immediately notify faculty members and Deans regarding any academic integrity violations. Possible sanctions may include receiving an F or 0 on the exam, the course, or more, as determined by the faculty member, Dean, and/or Provost.
  • Exam starting times: Students will generally schedule their exams during their class exam time. Exceptions are made to begin exams earlier or later when a student has a class conflict that would require them to miss part of another course session to take their exam at the class exam time or when exams may go past 5pm. For afterhours proctoring, SAC will first evaluate if a student can adjust their starting time based on their class schedule to begin earlier to finish during office hours. If that’s not possible, SAC will look to arrange evening proctoring and may adjust the starting time to ensure that the office is only open as late as necessary to accommodate the student’s other classes.
  • Early Policy: Students will not be able to begin a final exam more than 15 minutes before the scheduled start time without faculty permission.
  • Late Policy: Students that arrive late for final exams will not have their time adjusted. Students that arrive more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time of the exam will not be able to begin the exam, and will be following up with their faculty.
  • Sick/Illness Policy: Students that are currently dealing with illness (i.e. COVID-19, Flu, Norovirus, etc.) will not be able to test in the SAC office, as it places the SAC staff and other students at risk. They will reach out to faculty regarding rescheduling the exam.
  • Students that identify that they are not receiving their approved appropriate accommodations are informed not to begin their exam, and to contact staff for assistance.
  • Exam Submission: During the regular semester, Faculty are asked to submit the exam (via drop off or uploaded into Accommodate) at least 2-business days in advance for SAC to proctor. Final exams need to be submitted 3-business days in advance for SAC to print exams due to high volume. Final exams submitted after the 3-business day window will need to be dropped off to SAC in-person.
  • SAC proctors in-person exams, either on paper or online. SAC does not currently proctor online-remote exams.
  • Completed exams are scanned and uploaded into Accommodate for faculty to securely access within 2 business days, or made available for pick-up the same day the exam is taken during office hours.
  • Completed exams can also be picked up from our offices, M-F 8:30am-5pm. During Final Exams period, SAC has evening hours. SAC will close after the last tester of the day ends their exam, which can range from 7:30pm-9pm at LSC. WTC does not have exams on Wednesday during finals for Spring ’26, so will be closed on Wednesday, 4/29/26.

*School of Law students should continue to coordinate exams directly with the Deans
