Emergency Steps & Contacts

If you are currently abroad and experiencing an emergency, please take the following steps:

• Reach out to the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.
• Contact the local equivalent of 911 in your host country.
• Notify your in-country program coordinator or director.
• Call CISI, your Loyola-provided international insurance provider.
• Inform your emergency contacts at home.
• Contact LUC Campus Safety, available 24/7 at 773.508.SAFE (7233) who will re-route the phone call to the appropriate Office of Global and Community Engagement staff on call.
