Natalia Zychowska, MEd

Academic Advisor

A bit about Natalia...

  • Where is your hometown? Norridge, IL
  • What’s one highlight from your first semester of college? Attending my first ever college football game with my roommate and best friend :)
  • What do you wish you’d known when you started college? It’s okay to admit if you’re lost or overwhelmed. As a first-generation college student, I had a lot of questions that I thought were silly to ask other people. Looking back, they were not silly (but even if they were – it doesn’t matter!), and I wish I wasn’t so hard on myself for not knowing everything there was to know about college.
  • What do you like about advising first and second year students? Being able to hear about their education and career goals and supporting them along the way.
  • What’s your favorite thing about Loyola? Our beautiful Lake Shore campus
  • What’s your favorite thing about Chicago? How many neighborhoods there are to explore; still so many coffee shops and thrift stores left for me to visit!
  • What do you like to do in your spare time? Going on long walks, baking, watching rom-coms, and listening to Taylor Swift (while going on a long walk or baking)

Education

  • Bachelor of Science, Clinical-Community Psychology, University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign
  • Master of Education, School Counseling, Loyola University Chicago
