Funding Sources
Student Activity Fund (SAF) - funded by a portion of the undergraduate Student Development Fee, the SAF is accessible to Registered Student Organizations and managed by the Allocations Committee, a part of Student Government of Loyola Chicago. Available to be requested across three different cycles:
- SPOT Cycles occur at the beginning of the academic semester, for events happening on the same semester.
- 3 events per organization
- Up to $5,000 per event
- Rolling Funds are weekly cycles that allow organiations to request supplemental funding in the case of emergency or unanticipated events.
- One request per week
- Up to $2,000 per request
- Semester Budget Request (SBR) Cycles occur at the end of the academic semester, for events happening the following semester.
- 3 events per organization
- Up to $20,000 per organization

Start-up Funding (SUF) - up to $250 given to organizations at the beginning of the academic year for supplemental materials, for exmaple, materials for tabling at the Engagement Fair. These funds can be used by organizations who request them throughout the academic year.
Revenue - funds acquired by the student organization, via dues or fundraising, that belong to the student organization. These funds can be used for internal operations, supplemental funding for events, or to purchase items that are not eligible to be funded through the SAF (e.g., org merch).
