Flu Vaccine
As a reminder to faculty and staff, flu and COVID-19 vaccines are available at no cost through both the Aetna medical insurance and CVS pharmacy benefit plans. To receive your vaccine for free, simply visit an in-network provider. We encourage you to stay healthy and take advantage of this preventive health service.
Where You Can Get Vaccinated:
- Make an appointment with your network primary care doctor;
- Visit one of Aetna’s in-network pharmacies or retail locations; or
- Walk-in to (or schedule a Flu vaccine**at a) MinuteClinic® at select CVS Pharmacy® and Target® locations.

None of The Providers or Locations are Convenient for Me; Can I Go Anywhere to Get My Flu and COVID-19 Vaccine?
You are strongly encouraged to use an Aetna in-network provider. If a member obtains a Flu or COVID-19 vaccine from a non-participating provider, payment for the Flu vaccine will be required at the time of administration. You can submit a claim for reimbursement, but it will be applied to your out of network benefits and not covered at 100%.
How Long Does the Flu Vaccine Last?
The duration of the Flu vaccine is six (6) months.
