Today we started off with breakfast in the hotel lobby, and then a group of us got ready to go to Community Goods, to try their drinks, and The Grove, to shop around. We all saw Community Goods on social media and knew we had to try their matcha and coffee (which was so worth it, even with the line). Then we walked to The Grove, where on the way we saw lots of local shops. At The Grove, there were so many stores to shop around and could have easily spent the whole day there.

After our morning trip, we grabbed a quick lunch before we headed to a site visit at Universal Music Group. We got to connect with alum Nathan Ledesma, who works in marketing. It was very interesting to hear all about Nathan’s stories on his favorite projects, his relationships with the artists, and his career shift from accounting.

After sitting in an hour of traffic on the way back to the hotel (I will never take for granted Chicago’s traffic again), we headed a few blocks down to the Jonathan Club for the alumni reception. There were alumni from all over Los Angeles, some we met in previous site visits and others who were new, and they were all super nice. It was amazing connecting with so many people, and even though many were not in the same field that I am majoring in, it was very interesting to hear their experiences. After a few long hours of my feet hurting badly, we headed back to the hotel for the night. Tomorrow is our last day of professional events, and I am excited to end on a high note!
