Arts in Society LLC

The Arts in Society LLC will provide a space for students to explore an academic and co-curricular interest in the creative arts, broadly defined-including Theater, Visual Arts, Music, and Dance. In addition, in the Jesuit educational tradition, there will be an emphasis on social justice and using the arts to create a more just society.

Global LLC

The Global Living-Learning Community connects students closely with faculty and staff, challenging students to critically examine their experiences through a global lens and gain an understanding of cultures and perspectives other than their own. Global LLC will accomplish this by connecting students with Loyola and the greater Chicago community through an international lens, using conversations, art, reflection, and exploration.

Greenhouse LLC

The Greenhouse Living-Learning Community is home to students who are passionate about the relationship between people and nature. Students explore ways in which we can all use fewer natural resources and learn how to become agents of change for a more sustainable society.

Kingfisher Catholic Studies LLC

The Kingfisher Catholic Studies LLC is a community where faith meets intellectual life and spills over into service. We explore the Catholic tradition across disciplines — philosophy, sociology, theology, art, literature — and practice what we learn through hospitality and outreach. Open to curious first-years of any major.

Legacy LLC

Legacy LLC is a residential community designed for students participating in QUEST, LUCES, and STARS mentorship programs who seek an identity-affirming, community-rooted residential experience grounded in mentorship. Legacy LLC nurtures belonging from the moment students arrive at Loyola and provide a space where they can root themselves, expand, dream, breathe, and ground themselves in practices that support their well-being during their transition into college. It is intentionally designed as a haven, a place of safety and connection where students can grow academically, personally, and socially.

Open to all students, this community connects students through mentorship, shared learning, and engagement opportunities while supporting academic success and wellbeing.

Technology LLC

The Technology LLC supports students enrolled or interested in majors within the Department of Computer Science who will live together as a cohort and take a similar set of courses in their first year. Since the computer science field is applied, this LLC will benefit students as they learn from each other about computer science and programming concepts. The Department of Computer Science hosts co-curricular engagements, such as cybersecurity competitions, so that LLC students can work and grow together from these co-curricular experiences.
