About Rambler Brotherhood LLC
The Rambler Brotherhood Project Living Learning Community offers first-year students a supportive residential experience focused on belonging, leadership development, and personal growth. Open to all students, this community connects students through mentorship, shared learning, and engagement opportunities while supporting academic success and wellbeing. Participants will be connected to the Rambler Brotherhood Project, further foster community and support among peers.
Rambler Brotherhood Project LLC is affiliated with the Rambler Brotherhood Project and Department of Residence Life. This community is open to all first-year residential students and to students of all majors.
LLC Outcomes
By the end of the academic year, students participating in Rambler Brotherhood Project LLC will be able to:
- Demonstrate improved academic strategies and self-advocacy skills that contribute to sustained academic success (e.g., GPA goals, time management, resource utilization).
- Apply reflective practices to understand the relationship between academic effort and personal goals.
- Articulate a personal growth plan that includes measurable goals and reflects challenges overcome through resilience and peer support.
- Describe ways in which engagement in community and mentorship contributes to a deeper sense of belonging and emotional wellbeing.
- Lead or meaningfully contribute to at least one community service or civic engagement project that addresses a local need.
- Demonstrate essential leadership competencies (e.g., communication, ethical decision-making, teamwork) through participation in workshops and reflective assignments.
Linked Course
Members of this LLC will be automatically enrolled into SOCL 101-007 for the Fall semester. For questions, email livelearn@luc.edu.
How to Apply
- Incoming first year, residential students are eligible to participate in the living learning communities
- Students apply through the Housing Application beginning in February
- Students notified of LLC status at the beginning of May.

Staff listed below are the current LLC partners for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Hanna Kinney
Resident Director, Department of Residence Life
Resident Directors are live-in professional staff who oversee the residential experience within their respective residential communities. The “RD” supervises Resident Assistants, engages in programmatic efforts, and supports students through student learning, conflict, and concerns. The RD supports the LLC program through programming, collaboration, and as a departmental liaison.

Dr. Des'mon Taylor
Director, Department of Residence Life; LLC Partner, Rambler Brotherhood LLC
LLC Partners are Loyola faculty and staff members that primarily coordinate LLC programs and initiatives within the residence hall, on-campus, and in the Chicago area. The LLC Partner is often a liaison between Residence Life and the Department that is affiliated with the LLC.
