Technology LLC
About Technology LLC
The Technology LLC supports students enrolled or interested in majors within the Department of Computer Science who will live together as a cohort and take a similar set of courses in their first year. Since the field, including computer science and cybersecurity, is applied, this LLC will benefit students as they learn from each other about technology and programming concepts. The Department of Computer Science hosts co-curricular engagements, such as cybersecurity competitions and various student clubs, so that LLC students can work and grow together from these co-curricular experiences.
LLC Outcomes
By the end of the academic year, students participating in Technology LLC will be able to:
- Succeed academically through a cohort model taking the similar courses
- Learn from each other in applied programming and cybersecurity concepts
- Teach each other in applied programming and cybersecurity concepts.
Linked Course
Members of this LLC will be automatically enrolled into COMP 141-003 for the Fall semester. For questions, email livelearn@luc.edu.
How to Apply
- Incoming first year, residential students are eligible to participate in the living learning communities
- Students apply through the Housing Application beginning in February
- Students notified of LLC status at the beginning of May.

Resident Director, To Be Announced
Resident Directors are live-in professional staff who oversee the residential experience within their respective residential communities. The “RD” supervises Resident Assistants, engages in programmatic efforts, and supports students through student learning, conflict, and concerns. The RD supports the LLC program through programming, collaboration, and as a departmental liaison.

LLC Partners are Loyola faculty and staff members that primarily coordinate LLC programs and initiatives within the residence hall, on-campus, and in the Chicago area. The LLC Partner is often a liaison between Residence Life and the Department that is affiliated with the LLC.
