Posters
The spirit of our Poster Printing Service is in support of individual, academic projects, and pursuits for students, faculty, and staff. Typical usage includes posters for symposiums, conferences, and some limited University signage. Posters can be printed on matte or glossy paper. Our poster printers can accommodate sizes up to 42 inches in one dimension (due to size limit of the rolls). All submissions are reviewed to ensure proper scaling, copyright considerations, and best identify any risks of missing fonts or pixelated images. Once printed, they will be stored in a plastic sleeve for ease of pickup and transport. We do not offer or sell poster tubes.
We guarantee a 3-day turn around for printing provided no errors or issues are identified during our review phase. In some instances we may process more promptly due to fewer submissions in queue or less in-person support needs for all services we provide, however we strongly encourage you to plan and anticipate a 3-day turnaround.
URES Poster Design Workshops
We will be hosting Poster Design Workshop information sessions affording you ease on preparing your poster for the URES Symposium. These sessions will explain many aspect of the poster design process, design tips and considerations, recommendations and best practices with research posters in mind. Bring your "work in progress" poster and questions or download our template and follow along!
These sessions will all take place in the Information Commons room 120 at the Lakeshore Campus from 4:00pm - 5:00pm:

- Monday, March 30th
- Wednesday, April 8th
- Friday, April 10th

Poster Trimming Options
We offer automatic trimming options to select when printing, which includes:
- Trim to Printer Margin (Recommended)
- Borderless/Full Bleed Trim - will cut 0.5 inch into design; recommended no text present within 1 inch of all edges
- No trimming - may include extra whitespace if one dimension is less than 42 inches
We also offer large-format paper cutters that can handle sheets up to 50-inches, available for self-service use for individuals who wish to crop and trim posters or documents further. These paper cutters are available near each poster pickup service location.
Payment Options
We offer several University-approved methods with accepting payments for posters including:
- Rambler Bucks payments at LSC & WTC locations deducted from your Loyola ID at the time of pickup. Visit the Online Card Office to ensure you have enough funds before visiting.
- Account Code Transfers. Department's budget administrator names and actual Account Code/Units (AU 6-digit or 10-digit) must be provided at the time of order submission. Account Code charges/transfers are completed at the end of every month.
- (HSC Only) Trinity Account Code Transfers. Trinity department's budget administrator names and actual Trinity Account Code/Units (5 digit PeopleSoft Accounting Unit and the 6 digit account code) must be provided. Account code charges/transfers are completed at the end of every month.
- (HSC Only) Credit Card Payments submitted Online. Limited to HSC only, we accept credit card payments via the University's TouchNet ePay system. Please only remit payment after receiving the Invoice, this must be paid in advance and the email receipt available to review at the time of pickup.
For Account Codes: as the end of the fiscal year approaches, we will submit charge/transfers early by June 15th. Any orders submissions after that date listing the Account Code transfer payment option will be charged and transferred in the following fiscal year at the end of July.
Do you have a class project, symposium, or event that your department can pay for student poster submissions, but you would prefer not to share your University Account Code details with a large group of students? Contact us and we may be able to offer specialized "codes" you can share instead.
